I have had the privilege of working for John Taylor for the past two years. John has worked as a web designer in the Communications and Marketing Department at Lansing Community College.
John has been a valued member, both of the web team and the marketing department. He understands the role a well-designed web site can play in an overall communications and marketing strategy. Though he is quite skilled technically, I have been very impressed with his commitment to understand marketing on a deeper level, so the sites he designs are effective elements in a larger communications effort. He understands that the key element in effective design is engaging your target audience in a manner that is relevant to them.
John is a creative thinker. He has a very strong commitment to continually improving his skills as well as living a healthy, balanced life. He is not afraid to share his ideas when input is sought. Yet, he will defer to his colleagues when it is clear another approach may be pursued.
In addition to growing as a web designer, it is clear he is committed to personal growth and development. He will actively seek input and advice then he needs that, both personally and professionally. John is a highly energetic individual and gives himself fully to the tasks in front of him.

I am very pleased to write this recommendation on behalf of John Taylor.
John has been an employee of Brainiac Studios since January 2006 and in the time he has been with us he has proved himself indispensable. As our Head Web Page Designer he has been a very important part of establishing our companies online presence and professional image. We have been more than pleased with his performance and artistic design.
John has a drive and commitment to professionalism that would make him an asset to any endeavor he applies himself to. In the past several months we have had several jobs for him that took more time then the typical 40-hour week and John has always worked whenever we needed him with enthusiasm. At one point I had to call him on a Sunday while he was on vacation and ask him to do a job and he completed it promptly and with no complaint about the disruption in his vacation.
John’s high standards in art have given us the professional image we desired. Many of the projects we gave John were without much input, just a vague idea of what we desired. What he was able to come up with was beyond our expectations. We regularly hear compliments on our professional looking websites.
John is a self-motivated person and he works very well either independently or with others on whatever project he is given. For the most part he has worked without anCy supervision over the past several months, but on several occasions I personally worked directly with him on some very important projects. John is always a pleasure to work with.
I believe that John has tremendous potential and I feel quite confident that any company would be fortunate to have him as an employee.
